EFDN hosts Community Champions League Seminar
The Community Champions League UEFA project recently held a meeting at the NAC Academy, bringing together various teams and organizations. The participants included NAC, Ferencvaros, Benfica, Real Betis, Twente, Foundation 92, with Shakhtar and PAOK joining virtually. The teams arrived on Tuesday, June 13th, and kicked off the seminar with a casual networking dinner.
The meeting took place over the course of a day and a half, on June 14th and 15th, with the participants departing after lunch on the final day. Throughout the three days, there were multiple opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing. During the meeting, the project partners shared updates on their local communities’ experiences with the CCL, which mostly run until June 2023, although some partners were nearing completion in the upcoming weeks.
They discussed the challenges they faced, provided recommendations, and presented a general summary of the season. Additionally, the partners shared information not only about football but also about the workshops and community contributions organized by their participants. The focus then shifted towards planning improvements for the next season, scheduled to commence in October 2023.
EFDN (European Football for Development Network) took the opportunity to present the next steps of the project and provide some general project management insights. They also organized a small workshop on the second day of the meeting, facilitating discussions on various topics relevant to the project’s participants, including discrimination, disability, and the values associated with sports.
