As 2020 comes to an end, EFDN invites you to look back on this year’s top activities, projects and news stories. Take a look at some EFDN News from December, our new members and member news, and the International Days we highlighted this month.

Upshot webinar

Upshot, EFDN’s new monitoring and evaluation partner, offered a free system demonstration on Wednesday, 9 December from 2pm – 3pm (CET). The demonstration introduced attendees to the system, showed how EFDN is currently using Upshot in several projects, and provided information on partnership discounts. If you would still like to attend a demonstration on another day, please contact Upshot directly

MTF Action Weeks report published

From 15 September until 11 October 2020, European clubs, leagues and FA’s joined forces to promote the social power of football throughout the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks campaign. The campaign saw more than 100 organisations take part and the impact report provides an overview of all the actions as well as an insight into the campaigns reach and highlighting of key facts and figures.

Networking App launched

EFDN has created another networking opportunity for its members. Through our new app, it’s even easier for members to stay connected and exchange ideas and best practices outside of EFDN conferences and other events.

The EFDN Networking app is a modern platform developed in partnership with Bundeling. All EFDN members have access to a broad range of features.

Show Racism the Red Card campaign

More and more professional and grassroots clubs are joining our campaign against racism and discrimination. Our project partners managed to deliver the #DiversityWins educational programme. Join us here.

New Members

TFC Foundation, VVV Venlo, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and RKC Waalwijk joined the network.

Member News

FC Basel 1893 is the first football club to enter into a partnership with the Athletes Network.

Shatkhtar players visited towns near the contact line in Donetsk Oblast and played football with project participants of the Come on, Let’s Play! project.

AC Sparta auctioned retro shirts. Proceeds will go to the project ‘Pomáháme sestřičkám’ which supports health care workers.

Highlighted International Days

This month, EFDN and its members drew attention to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd and the International Human Rights Day on December 10th – not only in our news but also on social media.
