EFDN board comes together with Network Members at General Assembly

On the 21st of March 2023 the board of EFDN held their first General Assembly of the year 2023. This time we arrived in beautiful Seville where we are hosting our 19th Conference. During the General Assembly the present board consisted of: Hubert Rovers (CEO EFDN), Phil Duffy (ex-Everton in the Community), Bálint Máté (Ferencváros), Ton Strooband (Feyenoord), Wim Baelaart (KAA Gent), Meinolf Sprink (Bayer 04), Peter Davidson (Montrose FC) and newly appointed treasurer Menso de Maar.

The chair of the board Ton Strooband welcomed the new members of EFDN including:

  • Dunfermline Athletic Club
  • Stenhousmuir Football Club
  • Real Sporting de Gijon
  • Roda JC
  • Heracles
  • Istanbul Başakşehir

CEO Hubert Rovers then proceeded by presenting the future of EFDN. The road EFDN took the last year to create a new strategy plan. A plan which has been created by EFDN Staff, together with Members, Leagues and FA’s. The strategic plan is in the final stages and will be approved by all EFDN Members.

Furthermore, Hubert Rovers mentioned that due to the growth of EFDN, its mission and vision have been reshaped so they would fit the organisation’s development better. The most important thing about the reshaping process is that EFDN still wants to be a network that supports all people and their communities.

Connecting, Educating, Inspiring and Empowering are four key points EFDN wants to see reflected in their projects. These key points will therefore be reflected in the projects together with the values: Integrity, Responsibility, Inclusivity, and Transparency.

From EFDN, we hope to welcome you all back to our next Conference in Athens!
