COOPERATION GAMES FOR INTEGRATION
Working together was the central theme for participants of ‘Anders Inburgeren’, a project of FC Twente, Scoring in the Community. Certain game forms were performed, such as crossing an artificial turf field using objects and forming letters with fellow group members which required a lot of communication. Afterwards, the men played a match while the women strolled around the Quick’20 complex.
The project takes place next to the regular civic integration programme and is meant to speed up the integration process. Within the project, participants get to know sports, games, exercise and language in an accessible and visual manner. In the process, they see what (sports) opportunities there are at the various clubs in Oldenzaal. Participants join walking groups, take swimming and/or cycling lessons or find voluntary work via FC Noaber.
The aim of the project is to promote integration and sports participation in addition to the regular integration programme with the help of sports and exercise.
