Club Brugge’s foundraising huge succes During ‘De Warmste Week’ to Fight Loneliness

Club Brugge has demonstrated its generous spirit during Belgium’s ‘De Warmste Week’, raising an impressive €28,107 to support initiatives that fight loneliness.

On Sunday, 15 December, during the match against KRC Genk, the club organised various fundraising activities. Youth players sold 1,891 blue cuddle flames, which quickly sold out thanks to the warm support of the fans. A sale of hot drinks and snacks at the Foundation Chalet was also organised, contributing signifoicantly to the cause.
The Club Brugge Supporters Federation also had a significant role by donating proceeds from their supporters’ bar, Extra Time. Fans further demonstrated their generosity by forfeiting their deposits on reusable cups, adding to the overall total.
Earlier in the campaign, Club NXT, the club’s youth team, held a challenge to collect donations, while mascot Bibi participated in Bruges’ Christmas run to raise funds.

On Friday afternoon, a check for €28,107 was officially handed over at the ‘Warmste Huis’ on ’t Zand in Bruges. Representing the club were player Maxim De Cuyper, Club NXT player Loïc, and Nico Cappaert, chairman of the Supporters Federation.

Club Brugge continues to demonstrate its commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the pitch.
