Children Enjoy Dream Christmas Party

Children who have had a difficult year were given a little lift yesterday, thanks to the Rangers Charity Foundation’s ‘Dream Fund Christmas Party’.

Families, who were all nominated by the Foundation, Robin House Children’s Hospice, Glasgow Children’s Hospital and Glasgow City Mission, were able to enjoy food, face painting, crafts, games and a visit from Santa Claus. Many children in attendance are living with life-limiting illnesses, whilst others have experienced homelessness.

One parent Tweeted: “Our baby girl was in her absolute element with Broxi at the Christmas party. We cannot thank Rangers Charity Foundation enough for her invitation, she had so much fun!”

The Foundation will make a £10,000 donation to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

Rangers Charity Foundation Director, Connal Cochrane, said: “This afternoon was all about fun! Christmas is a very special time of year, and through our Dream Fund, we’re determined to spread joy across as many children as possible. Our young guests are extremely brave in the face of adversity and, although this may only be one small gesture, we hope that the Christmas party will have created memories which will last all year! On behalf of everyone at the Foundation, I’d like to express our sincere thanks to all supporters who fundraise throughout the year and make events, such as this, possible.”

The Rangers Charity Dream Fund, which was launched last season, arranges special Rangers experiences for children and adults whose lives have been impacted by the likes of disability, illness or other difficult circumstances. The party was part of the Foundation’s wider programme of Christmas initiatives which include a visit to the Royal Hospital for Children with the first team, where the Foundation will make a £10,000 donation to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
