Children develop themselves through a unique ADO Den Haag experience
In the 2021-22 season, ADO Den Haag in de Maatschappij, in close cooperation with ADO Den Haag, launched a pilot of the new project “Live like an ADO-Prof!”. On Monday 6 September, the eight new locations kicked off their first programme of the new season with 20-25 children.
With ‘Living like an ADO-Prof!’, children and young people from the Haaglanden region are offered the chance to experience the unique experience of a professional footballer, to discover their talents and develop their competences. The trainers of ADO Den Haag will work on this during a 12-part training cycle, in which the themes Health, Acceptance and Development are leading.
In September 2022, the ‘Living like an ADO-Prof!’ programme started with 180 participants spread over eight different locations in The Hague. All participants have now completed the Proftest, by a physiotherapist from the club. After the physio’s approval, the participants travelled to the Bingoal Stadium a week later with the player bus of transport partner Van Heugten Tours to sign their first contract. At this unique location, they all signed the contract which means they are now official participants of the ‘Life of an ADO-Prof!’ programme. After this formal moment, all participants received a goodie bag with their own training clothes from ADO Den Haag, made possible by partners PLYRS and Van Heugten Tours.
In the next ten meetings, the themes will be covered intensively during the training sessions, but there is also room for workshops such as the Fair Play Game, use of Social-Media and developing your own neighbourhood contribution during the ‘MOVE in 1-day’.
