Campaign ‘Real Betis with Morocco and Libya’ launched
Real Betis, through its Foundation, is launching a humanitarian aid campaign for the victims of the earthquake in Morocco and the floods in Libya that have killed thousands of people and devastated cities.
The Club will send an SMS to the more than 75,000 members of the club asking for their collaboration with the donation of one euro that will be destined to NGOs that will work in the area for its reconstruction. In addition, the campaign encourages collaboration with the Emergency Committee.
The Real Betis Foundation, within its Social Emergency Programme, which acts as quickly as possible in the face of catastrophes of this type, as happened with the La Palma volcano or the war in Ukraine, is launching the Real Betis with Morocco and Libya campaign, encouraging its fans to help the victims of both natural disasters in two ways:
- The Club will send an SMS to its fans through which they can donate €1 to the Real Betis Foundation. The money raised will go to entities that are currently helping in the area, such as Seed, the NGO with which our player Nabil Fekir collaborates.
- Real Betis encourages fans to help through the Emergency Committee, which has already applied the action protocol for Morocco. The club will act in this campaign as a loudspeaker for the campaign launched by this Committee. Those interested can collaborate by sending a bizum to the number 02076. The Emergency Committee is made up of 6 NGOs that are working in the affected areas of Morocco: SOS Children’s Villages, Educo, Oxfam Intermon, Doctors of the World, Plan International and World Vision.
The two Moroccan players from the first team squad, Chadi and Abde, have wanted to star in the campaign that supports their country along with Nabil Fekir, a socially committed footballer through the NGO Seed, which is already working in Morocco and Libya to help both the victims and the reconstruction of the destroyed cities.
Social Emergency Programme
This action is framed within the Social Emergency Programme of the Green and Whites’ Foundation, which tries to give service and relief to society in emergency situations. Real Betis has already carried out aid campaigns for the citizens of Ukraine after the Russian invasion, for the neighbours of La Palma affected by the Cumbre Vieja volcano or to help after the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
