CAFE release Week of Action 2019 report
Taking place between 2-10 March 2019, the CAFE Week of Action saw stakeholders from across the game come together to celebrate access and inclusion within football.
The CAFE Week of Action 2019 – the seventh campaign of its sort so far – was the largest to date with activities taking place in 36 different countries under the Total Football #TotalAccess umbrella.
The new-look summary report highlights some of the works and activities taking place this season, with detailed case studies looking at how the CAFE Week of Action was celebrated this year. The report also analyses the reach of the CAFE Week of Action, and the level of exposure the campaign received via social media and the CAFE website.
Highlights from the 2019 initiative include:
- 34 clubs across Russia celebrating Total Football #TotalAccess in a range of different ways
- A wide range of celebrations and initiatives throughout the week at Scottish clubs Celtic, Rangers and St Johnstone
- The introduction of ‘touch tours’ for partially sighted and blind fans at a number of stadiums
- Involvement of some of the world’s biggest football clubs, including FC Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid
