CACT Pitch available for Greenwich families of children with additional needs

Charlton Athletic Community Trust is working with the Royal Borough of Greenwich to makes its pitch at its site in New Eltham available for families of children with additional needs.

The COVID-secure site is available for free to eligible families living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Families/bubbles can book a 2-hour slot to have sole use of the astroturf pitch and can request use of sporting equipment, all of which will be sanitised after each use. Toilet facilities will be available, which will also be sanitised after each visit.

CACT staff will be on-site at all times. Slots are available Monday-Saturday, 10am-6pm.

Carl Krauhaus, CACT’s Head of Early Help and Prevention, said:

“We know that families of children with additional needs are finding it particularly difficult to exercise in public space at the moment, so we’re delighted to be able to offer our pitch for families to get some outdoor exercise in a safe, secure way.”
