CACT and Andrews team up for Stay Warm, Stay Safe programme

Stay Warm, Stay Safe is a service commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich provided by CACT, South East London Community Energy (SELCE) and a range of other stakeholders in the borough, aimed to help residents to heat their homes for the winter months.

With rising energy prices and customers facing average increases of around £150 per year, EFDN member Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) is proud to be delivering the Stay Warm, Stay Safe programme once again to help families heat their home this winter. CACT are delighted to, once again, team up with their Patron Andrew Sykes.  Following high levels of demand for small heating units in previous years, Andrews have committed to supplying CACT with 50 electric heaters which will provide a safe, cost-effective, and reliable source of warmth. Stay Warm, Stay Safe runs from October to March and offers lots of tailored support including help with grant applications and switching energy providers. The scheme is not exclusive and is open to anyone in Royal Greenwich in need of support.

“The Royal Borough of Greenwich Public Health and Wellbeing Team have commissioned CACT to support the Stay Warm Stay Safe programme, which aids residents who are feeling cold in their homes. […] This year, with the rising costs of fuel, it’s more important than ever that we arm ourselves with the right tools to support our residents during the winter months. […] We are therefore delighted to purchase 50 heaters from Andrews, who have kindly agreed to store half of the units until they are required for distribution.”

Deb Browne, Head of Health Improvement at CACT

“It is a privilege to play our part in supporting this commendable initiative, with no cause more worthy than one aimed at improving the wellbeing of those on our doorstep who are most in need. […] We have been keenly involved with the Stay Warm, Stay Safe project for many years now and are only too happy to endorse the message behind it.”
