Burnley FC 2020 Impact Report Released

EFDN Member Burnley FC in the Community is delighted to release their 2020 Impact Report. The 2019/20 season turned out to be a season like no other. The coronavirus pandemic had an unprecedented effect, and along with every other football club in the country, the charity’s version of ‘normal’, was turned upside down in March.

This year’s Impact Report is a report of two halves. The first half features the work the Burnley carried out before March, detailing their broad range of impactful community programmes and thriving facilities including the Leisure Box, Whitehough Outdoor Centre and Burnley Community Kitchen.

Meanwhile, in the latter half, they demonstrate how they handled the challenges of COVID-19,  how they adapted our working practices, formed partnerships with other organisations to care for those in need and how all of this impacted people in their community.

The report also details Burnley FC in the Community’s collaboration with the football club, the support of the players, their work around Equality & Diversity and above all the One Club for All ethos.

As a charity, they have been on a profound journey this season, but as always their committed team adapted and reacted to the changing circumstances to continue to make a positive impact on the town.

The charity encourages you to take a look at the report to gain an insight into this historical season, but while doing so join them in feeling an enormous sense of pride in the knowledge that no matter the challenges, Burnley FC in the Community is there to support the local community and help those who need them most.
