Brentford Community Sports Trust – Thousands of Stories: The Team
Brentford FC is made of thousands of stories, and they each matter.
From Club staff, who make every match day memorable for supporters, to the fans, many of whom have followed Brentford from the Griffin Park days. Their diverse community on and off the pitch is what makes Brentford special.
Thousands of Stories is a new series of short films sharing the stories of Brentford’s people. As part of the series, the Trust are delighted to showcase The Team story through their Adult Female Recreation Football sessions.
The Team
The Club and Trust believe football is for everyone.
The UEFA Women’s EURO saw a vast increase in female participation in football. Brentford FC hosted some of the matches at the Gtech Community Stadium and have since been seeking to build on the action, supporting women who want to play recreationally and in the Club’s women’s teams
Every Wednesday, the Trust holds a recreational football session for women over 16 of all abilities, giving them a safe and welcoming space to get playing and further their love for football at an affordable price.
In the video below, The Team tells the story of Lauren, who was inspired by her younger daughter, Zoe, to attend the sessions.
