Bremen Aktiv- Werder Youngstars & the Martinshof
Last Thursday, the older players of the Werder Youngstars played a friendly match against a team from the Martinshof.
The friendly match had been initiated as a small compensation for an exchange programme to Abu Dhabi, in which both organisations were supposed to take part this year.
SV Werder Bremen had been invited by the foundation ‘Football is More’ to attend an international Football event in Abu Dhabi, being their cooperation partner, the club invited the Martinshof to join.
The two groups, which were ready to start the journey to Abu Dhabi formed a football training group, which met weekly at the Martinshof, which is a workplace for disabled people.
After weeks of preparations for the travel, the event was unfortunately cancelled and the disappointment was great at Werder Bewegt and the Martinshof. In order to compensate the participants to some extent, a friendly match between the Werder Youngstars and the Martinshof was organised, it was a great day for everyone.
