#BeActive and Crossbar Challenge in Focus as European Week of Sport Begins

The European Football for Development (EFDN) will join individuals and organisations across the European Union from tomorrow, 23 September, in various activities to support the week-long European Week of Sport (EWS). The official opening of the EWS is scheduled to take place in Frankfurt, Germany. On the same day, activities to mark the launch of the Week will take place across Europe and beyond. The official opening event will be exclusively online and is an opportunity to enhance visibility and awareness of the European Week of Sport and key messaging and prompt active engagement on social networks.

Use #BeActive and #morethanfootball to promote health projects

EFDN, which is running its #Morethanfootball Action Weeks, will join in the activities and ask its members and participating organisations to do the same. The Action Weeks (15.09. – 11.10.2020) are a global campaign for the European football community to showcase the impact of their community and social responsibility activities and programmes.

EFDN and #Morethanfootball Action Weeks participants will organise the Crossbar challenge on September 24, Action Day 2 of Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyle.
