Apollon Limassol supports the “Goal in Life” Foundation’s charity programme
On Saturday the 19th of May, EFDN member Apollon Limassol supported the Goal in Life Foundation’s charity event which managed to raise around €6,000 to support the purchase of necessary equipment for the Makarios Hospital in Cyprus.
In a pleasant and festive atmosphere, young and old football fans had the exciting opportunity to meet their favourite football players, practice their shooting skills, get autographs and play 5v5 mini-football games in an area specially designed for the event. Many Cyprus football clubs sent a player or other representative to support the event, including EFDN member Apollon Limassol who was represented by their goalkeeper Tasos Kissas.
In addition to the various games and activities on the field at the Mall of Cyprus different presents were given to the attending children, such as footballs, t-shirts, and other exciting items. The Goal in Life Foundation also randomly selected three lucky adults who received a season pass for next season including all football matches of their favourite team.
The highlight of this special charity event was when the owner of one of the local electricity providers DIMCO Ltd., Alexis Demetriou handed a donation cheque to the president of the Goal in Life Foundation. The total amount raised from the event is €6,000 which will be donated for equipment of the First-Aid department of the local Makarios Hospital.
