Post drove the bus as part of the ‘Alle Routiniers verzamelen’ project, in which students of student association Endzjin usually pick up elderly people before home matches of the club to give them a nice outing.
The aim of ‘Alle Routiniers verzamelen’ is to combat loneliness among senior citizens and to give them a nice outing at the Yanmar Stadium. After the bus ride, the senior citizens gather in the stands and are provided with a snack and a drink, and are brought safely home again after the match. In this way, Almere City and student association Endzjin offer people who are normally unable to attend a match a fun way to spend their day. In the stands, the elderly meet new people and enjoy a good football match.
“It was a beautiful evening full of special stories and encounters.”(…) “It was nice to see the smiles on the faces of the passengers.” (…) “Alle Routiniers verzamelen touches people’s hearts and it’s special how student association Endzjin takes the lead in this project together with Almere City FC.”
