Alcoraz Foundation continues with the child protection training

The Acullir Programme that has been implemented in the Alcoraz Foundation, with the objective of ensuring compliance with the Organic Law of Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents against Violence, continues with its presentation to the equipment from the SDH Quarry.

This initiative has the main objective of preventing all types of violence in the area that includes minors, thus providing protection to boys, girls and adolescents against violence.

As a first thing, the training was carried out for all the technicians, assistants and delegates of the men’s and women’s teams of the SDH Quarry, continuing with all of the players integrated into the lower categories.

During these trainings, Carlos Santolaria, member of the Foundation’s board of trustees and promoter of the initiative, will explain to the players the “Acullir Programme” and the action protocol in such cases.

SAVES Project

In addition , the Alcoraz Foundation has joined the European project SAVES (Safeguarding Advancement in European Sport Project) through EFDN with five other European teams such as Roda JC Kerkrade, Foundation 92, Feyenoord Foundation, KAA Gent Foundation and Athletic Club Bilbao. This project will be presented in the near future and consists in the implementation of the protection of minors in European clubs, one of the settings where children are most at risk of abuse.

The project intends to reach the entire football pyramid, working alongside National Football Associations, Professional Leagues, Professional Clubs, Club Foundations and Grassroots Clubs, giving them tools to implement minimum standards. It will seek to create new networks of key stakeholders in the arena to utilise their expertise and improve awareness of safeguarding issues across European sport.
