ADO Den Haag is much more than a football club
On Monday, April 24th, over 35 participants were given a presentation on ADO Den Haag‘s social impact and were allowed to get creative themselves. This showed above all that ADO Den Haag is much more than a football club.
It was time for another meeting with Follow Your Dreams at ADO Den Haag’s Bingoal Stadium. At 11 o’clock, the first part of the meeting started with a presentation by CSR Manager Kees Brouwers, in which the participants were taken through the social projects of football club ADO Den Haag.
“Reaching as many residents as possible with various structural and impact-oriented programmes where ADO Den Haag wants to make a difference.”
Kees Brouwers, CSR Manager at ADO Den Haag
After this informative meeting, it was time to see the stadium and the participants were given a tour of the Bingoal Stadium to show once again that there is much more to ADO Den Haag than just football on the pitch. A look at the event rooms, the press area, the dressing room and the SkyLounges was taken, explaining the rich history of the club and the many possibilities a stadium offers besides the ADO men’s and women’s football matches.
After a short presentation by Project Leader Philip Kouwenhoven on putting passion into your work, the participants were able to get to work themselves. Five groups are set to work inventing a new social project for ADO Den Haag. Within half an hour, the groups had to have worked out the entire project. In addition, the group had to prepare a convincing pitch to convince the jury. Setting up a football team from ADO Den Haag for the LGBTQ+ community and thus drawing more attention to this subject within football became the winning idea.
