ADO Den Haag celebrated movement to music on National Balcony Day
The first National Balcony Day was celebrated on Friday 29th May at more than 150 residential care locations throughout the Netherlands. It is an initiative of the National Elderly Fund in cooperation with the Friends Lottery and Menzis.
In The Hague, Menzis and ADO Den Haag organised in the Society, together with Silent Disco International, the mobility activities at the care location ZeeWinde in Scheveningen. The residents were all given headphones and heard the music, the speeches and trainers, who all performed the movements to the music, together with ADO Den Haag OldStars.
On this special day, movement coaches were active at several locations in The Hague. The residents of ZeeWinde could not get enough of it! Director Klaas Smilde of Respect concluded the event with a word of thanks for everyone, but especially for Silent Interaction, which had made the connection with its residents, both inside and outside, possible!
