A weekend of heart screenings at the Community Stadium Hub
At the Community Stadium Hub, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) has organised a weekend of free heart screenings for young Brentford fans in memory of Robert Rowan.
At the cardiac screening, individuals receive an electrocardiogram (ECG) which is a simple, non-invasive, and painless test that only takes a few minutes to complete and is performed by qualified cardiac physiologists.
After the success of the previous events, a new cardiac screening in memory of the club’s former technical director Robert Rowan will be hosted by Cardiac Risk in the Young at the Community Stadium Hub. Young fans between the age of 14 and 35 can book a free screening and take part in this initiative. More information can be found on the Brentford’s page.
The screening will be organised once again by CRY with the mission to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research. They are one of several organisations working with the Brentford FC in their long-term partnership, Heart of West of London which aims to use the power of sport and their collective voice to improve cardiac health in the local community and beyond.
Thanks to these screening, CRY can not only raise awareness on the cardiac disorders but also find people with those before an adverse events could happen.
