2020 #Morethanfootball Action Weeks postponed
Due to the recent developments regarding Covid-19, EFDN, ECA and the UEFA Foundation have decided to postpone the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks, which were planned for the period 23rd March to 16th April to a later date this year.
In the last days, several European Leagues and the UEFA have decided to halt their competitions and suspend matchdays. At the same time, European clubs, leagues and FAs and their community organisations have stopped delivering their community projects.
Therefore, we believe that this is not the right time to celebrate all the social initiatives delivered by the European football community. We encourage all interested clubs, leagues and FAs to keep their campaign materials, postpone the delivery of their More than Football activities and follow our communication channels for updates on the campaign and the More than Football Award, which EFDN will hand out at the 14th EFDN Conference in Breda, The Netherlands, on the 10th & 11th of November 2020.
For the good of our society, European Football needs to play a part in preventing the further spread of the virus. Stay safe and take care in these difficult times and keep an eye out on our communication channels for an announcement later today, on how football organisations around Europe have joined forces, to show how we can support each other to overcome the current Covid-19 crisis.
