1,500 children to benefit from Inter Campus and UEFA project
With the adage of developing children’s resilience through education and football, UEFA Foundation’s project backed by coordinating partner Inter Campus, is a two year campaign that will end with the onset of 2022.
Encompassing four sub-Saharan countries – Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Cameroon – the African Black’n Blue project aims to aid socially deprived children. Angola and Congo have already seen the project delivered up to an extent. Inter Campus operates in 30+ countries around the world.
Cameroon’s main topic of focus is ethnic integration and improvement of rural areas. The training process involves enhancing local skills, educating children, and promoting inclusion, especially for females, according to the sport’s values.
Inter Campus operates in these respective countries with the intention of creating an atmosphere from which future generations can benefit. Around 1,500 children are expected to benefit, directly or indirectly, from the project’s reach – with around 200 children in Cameroon alone.
The club’s football-related social methodology has so far been effective in different countries around the world and in partnership with UEFA, one can only expect the children of these regions to gain better understanding of social values, gender equality, cultural integration and quality education.
