10 years of the blind grandstand
On Friday 4 November, ADO Den Haag, together with its visitors of the Blindentribune, celebrated the 10th anniversary of this grandstand for ADO fans with a visual impairment!
In November 2012, ADO Den Haag opened its Blind Stand prior to the ADO Den Haag – AZ match. In the Blindentribune, supporters with a visual impairment can experience the matches of ADO Den Haag live and simultaneously by following Radio West’s live report of the match. For example, they sometimes know what is happening on the other side of the field better than the supporters around them.
The ‘hard core’ of the Blindentribune has been coming to the matches of ADO Den Haag for ten years and is taken care of by host Eric van der Weg. In the ten years, the visitors have experienced highs and lows, in football and on a personal level. That makes the visitors a close-knit group!
Marius van Mil thanked the visitors on behalf of ADO Den Haag for their support during the matches and gave the fans an ADO scarf. Captain Boy Kemper especially thanked Eric van der Weg for 10 years of hosting in the Blindentribune and presented him with a signed shirt on behalf of ADO Den Haag.
After the match ADO Den Haag – VVV Venlo, Leo Dijk told about his experiences in the Blindentribune in the ADO Den Haag podcast. Host Eric also joined the podcast.
