10 Years Club Brugge Foundation – Congratulations
This season, the Club Brugge Foundation is celebrating its 10h anniversary. At last Sunday’s match, on 6th of August, the Club organised a special event, celebrating the existence and great work of the Foundation.
In 2007, the Foundation was established with Michel D’Hooghe, former president of the club, being the driving force. Since then, the Foundation has had a major impact on the community, changing the lives of many people in the Belgium city of Brugge. Yearly, the club reached more than 1500 people through engaging them in their 15 CSR programmes.
Among others, the Foundation has established a special football team for children with autism, the Voetbalkraks. At the Playing for Success Programme, the participating children learn to increase their self-esteem and motivation to learn in school. Additionally, in cooperation with the Red Cross, the Club Foundation organises on a regular basis blood donation initiatives at the Jan Breydelstadion.
We wish the Club Brugge Foundation all the best for the future and are glad to have the Belgium club as such a valuable member in our Network, sharing knowledge and best practice in the field of CSR in Football and participating in Pan European programmes as the European Legends Walking Football project.
Congratulations Club Brugge!
