Changing lives through Football Staff Exchange at Feyenoord Rotterdam
From the 8th until the 10th of October, staff members from Feyenoord Foundation, Aberdeen Community Trust, PFC Ludogorets 1945, Vitesse Betrokken, KAS Eupen, Inter Campus, Legia Foundation, Saints Foundation and KAA Gent Foundation will come together to share their experiences and best practice educational programmes during a 3-day session at Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
In line with the main objective of the Erasmus Plus programme, the “Changing lives through Football” youth worker mobility project aims at bringing youth workers together to exchange ideas, training methods, teaching styles, project formats to enhance the quality of their local sport, football-based community and educational programmes. This exchange seeks to equip youth workers with the competencies and methods needed for transferring the common fundamental values of our society through life skills and football-based programming, particularly to reach young people living in diverse communities.
BRINGING SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE POWER OF FOOTBALL
EFDN members are committed to this exchange of knowledge to benefit their staff, volunteers and impact on the young people in their local wider communities. Our member clubs stand out through innovation and partnership and see reflection and constant development as key to their sustainable success. Our members are pioneers in their communities in the field of football-based social engagement programmes and CSR in professional football and are willing to share their experiences and expertise with other clubs in Europe. The aims of the network are to promote the connecting power of football as a tool for social development; and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between clubs by creating opportunities for clubs to learn from one another, and to implement programmes in their communities to benefit local participants in particular.
